Blue, Grey, Wind
Solo show
Bootleg Gallery, Tokyo, 21 June 2025 - 29 June 2025

Blue, Grey, Wind is a body of work that, based on experiences on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, addresses themes such as the return of trauma from the Great East Japan Earthquake, the layering and rupture of memory, and the relationship between nature and human beings. Discordant landscapes created by the island’s natural environment and artificial structures were unconsciously connected to post-disaster scenes. This phenomenon was abstracted through methods that intersect fact and fiction, presented as a reconstructed narrative, and developed from a central video work into photography, painting, and sculptural pieces.
